As a true corporate citizen, DFPCL is committed to social thought and action and is resolute in its dedication to serve the society they live in. The Company has been engaged in community work through Ishanya Foundation at Taloja and Pune in Maharashtra.

The CSR Arm of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited, Pune (DFPCL), Ishanya Foundation (ISFON) is a registered NGO under the provision of the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950.

With a strong belief of “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime”, Ishanya Foundation’s vision is to act as a catalyst to create a self-reliant society for youth, women and marginal farmers, with a secure means of livelihood. isFon has for several years has been engaged in community work, fostering goodwill and improving the quality of life within communities through appropriate drives, initiatives and campaigns.

The Foundation organizes vocational training skill development programs with the prime focus of enabling skill enhancement and employability. This is in line with the organization’s strategy to create a meaningful impact of shared value in communities, which would lead to sustainable livelihood for the beneficiaries and their families. Initiatives were developed and introduced with the lead focus of empowering women, who would in turn enable empowering and benefitting the entire family.

Ishanya Foundation has always encouraged and partnered with the next generation for spreading awareness about the social issues of the community. Through their association with leading educational institutes like Symbiosis Pune and Symbiosis University, the Company has collaborated with specific Institutes like the Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communications and Symbiosis Institute of Management by offering an internship course at the Foundation since the last five years. The students from BBA & MBA stream are eligible for this internship under their Service Learning Module.

The Yellow Ribbon Fair conducted by Ishanya Foundation is an annual pre-diwali NGO fair wherein the foundation brings NGOs and SHGs under one umbrella to showcase and sell their work and products and to further orient the public about the kind of work that’s being done. The fair has over a 100 NGOs and SHGs participating every year from Maharashtra and Gujarat.

DFPCL has and will continue to reach out to the society and be the active channel of change to the economically weaker sections of the society, by developing and sustaining programs for the betterment of the quality of their lives.
