Project News

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd is planning to expand the capacity of its prilled ammonium nitrate unit by 30,000 tonnes per year from 70,000 tonnes. The new 30,000-tonne plant, based on technology supplied by Grande Paroisse of France is in line with the company's plans to import additional ammonia. Last year, Deepak had imported an additional weak nitric acid plant from Ireland to supply raw material for ammonium nitrate.

The company's planned outlay for the project was Rs 55 crore.

Project Status

The project is expected to be fully commissioned by September-October.
