Notes

1. The Government of India is yet to notify final subsidy on fertilisers for the current quarter and hence the amount of subsidy is based on provisional figures.

2. The supply of Natural Gas continued to be lower than contracted allocation, affecting production and sales.

3. Extraordinary items for the quarter represent write back of provision, related to non-recurring expenses, no longer required, pursuant to settlement.

4. During the quarter the Company has commissioned captive power plant of 9 M.W. capacity.

5. During the quarter ended September,2004 the Company has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in the name and style of Deepak Nitrochem Pty. Ltd. in Australia to explore the possibility of setting up of manufacturing facility.

6. The above unaudited financial results for the quarter and half year ended 30th September, 2004 were reviewed by the Statutory Auditors of the Company.

7. There were no investor complaints pending at the beginning of the quarter. The Company, during the quarter, received one investor complaint, which was resolved.

The above unaudited financial results were considered and taken on record by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on 21st October, 2004.
